There is no consideration here.”

Scott gets nothing in return? What are you talking about! HE GETS TO BE SANTA! Inconveniences aside, I’d say that’s pretty clearly consideration.

(However the text was too tiny and he didn’t see it, therefore definitely no acceptance.)

Comment on Check your contracts before you Thomas Cook it! by Molly Cronin https://bebconsultancy.co.uk/check-your-contracts-before-you-thomas-cook-it/#comment-117 Mon, 30 Sep 2019 07:25:40 +0000 https://bebconsultancy.co.uk/?p=1767#comment-117 In reply to David Kelly.

Hi David, sorry you have had this experience! The CAA provides the best guidance on this, and has a page to explain how to complete the form https://www.caa.co.uk/Completing-a-claim-form.aspx

Where it states that they have to complete the form I believe that is only if you used a third party which is not part of the group to book your holiday, however I would contact the CAA directly if you wanted any further assurance as they are the experts!

I made a booking for a party of four to Cyprus departing next Tuesday through the local Thomas Cook office in Wellingborough. The operating Company Mercury Direct, although I am covered by ATOL, state that I must make the application myself to recover the full payment that I have made as it is not up to them.

Having looked at the form it is quite complex and does require one section to be filled in by them !! is this reasonable ??

How much does a standard T & C cost please?
